Every project is unique, so rates are based around your needs. Sage Audio Services understands that everyone has a budget, so we can tailor a fee structure that best suits your requirements. If you are looking for hourly rates, rates can be as low as $30 per hour for basic editing and sweetening and $50 per hour for live sound mixing. If fixed project fees are your thing, we can negotiate that too. Below are just a few examples of the services offered. TRACKING, EDITING, SWEETENING, and VOICE OVERS
Sage Audio Services has great relationships with studios in the Greater Boston Area that can be used to track all, or parts, of your project - with Jonathan Sage at the healm of your session. Using Pro Tools or a DAW of your choice, editing and basic sweetening (eq, dynamics) can be achieved quickly and accurately.
Jonathan Sage is a voice over artist, capable of performing various vocal styles and tones. We can provide you with the perfect performance for your commercial, film, phone system, web site, or video game.
MIXING
From World Beat to Death Metal, from Jazz to Pop, and let's not forget Classical or Hip Hop - Sage Audio Services has mixed them all. Mixing is the art of combining all of the individual recorded and virtual elements of a song into a single stereo or surround track. Using eq, dynamics, and time based processors, as well as gain and panning concepts, a cohesive sound is created from the various parts.
MASTERING and RESTORATION
Mastering is the final process in the recording chain. A very misunderstood process, mastering is not just about making things loud. It's where all the mixed tracks are made into a cohesive final product. Maybe your album has 8 songs mixed by 8 different people. Mastering is the point where those unique tracks are made into one complete statement. Sage Audio Services can master individual songs or whole albums, create DDP 2.0 files with CD-TEXT and ISRC encoding for manufacturing, as well as create Mastered for iTunes AAC files and properly encoded MP3's with metadata, so you'll know what your songs will sound like before they're downloaded.
In addition to mastering, Sage Audio Services has years of experience in cleaning up tracks that suffer from noise, static, clipping, crackles, clicks, and distortion. Jonathan Sage has over 25 years of live sound mixing and systems tech'ing. Working everywhere from the small, local club to the large stadium to the corporate boardroom, Jonathan Sage has mixed everything from hardcore punk bands to Barack Obama. Not only can Sage Audio Services mix your show, Jonathan Sage has extensive experience with complex, DSP based, network audio systems and wireless frequency coordination/management.
